Joining electronics and computing into a true modular platform that allows to perform virtually any task replacing thousands of dollars worth of equipment, the uL9 allows electronics hobbyists and professionals to save time and money.
More
The SparkLab software is based on cooperative tasking; The user loads multiple modules into a deck and connect modules ports together using a virtual wiring system located "behind" the modules deck stack. Each module is responsible of accomplishing a task upon which the resulting data is passed to any module connected to it. Interfacing with "the real world" is as easy as connecting any other module using a speciality module which transits data from the software platform to the hardware platform using a medium like the USB protocol.
The SparkLab hardware basically is a boosted data acquisition system able to source or sink digital ports as well as acquire analog values. Once the software requests for a port to be analyzed or for a bit to be set, the hardware decodes the incoming signal and executes the order. This process occurs at blazing speeds that can reach over 20,000 operations per second (on the uL9 series).
It's concept enables SparkLab to cover virtually any task where computing and electronics meet. It can be used as an instrumentation platform, a digital operator, a device driver, a signal generator or even as a protocol decoder. With limitless creativity, SparkLab creates infinite possibilities.
